Qatar condemns Kunduz bombing

DOHA, Qatar — Qatar condemned the suicide bombing near the Kabul bank branch in Kunduz City in northern Afghanistan, which killed at least 25 people, according to sources.

In a statement on Tuesday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the country’s strong opposition to terrorism and violence in all forms, regardless of motives or causes.

The attack, which occurred Tuesday morning near a Kabul Bank branch in the city of Kunduz, left at least 25 dead and 30 wounded, according to local sources.

However, Taliban have downplayed the casualty count, reporting five deaths.

Taliban police command said the victims included both Taliban members and civilians.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
