KABUL, Afghanistan — A blast struck near the Interior Ministry in Kabul’s Police District 15 on Saturday, leaving four people injured, according to Taliban officials and local sources.
Khalid Zadran, a spokesman for Kabul’s security department, told the media that the explosion occurred along Kabul Airport Road. He said the injured had been taken to a hospital and that an investigation was underway.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
While the Taliban have consistently asserted that security has improved under their rule, reports of attacks targeting Taliban officials and personnel have continued to surface from various provinces. Observers note that such incidents highlight ongoing security challenges in Afghanistan despite the group’s claims.
