A resident of Balkh Province in northern Afghanistan was shot and killed by a Taliban member following an altercation, according to sources.
Footage obtained by Amu shows the victim, reportedly a taxi driver from Mazar-e-Sharif, in a confrontation with a Taliban fighter.
According to sources, the dispute escalated when the driver, who had sought help from the Taliban after his car was set on fire, was met with violence instead.
The man was fatally shot after the confrontation, sources said.
A photograph of the victim’s body has been shared with Amu, though further details about the incident remain unclear.
Taliban have yet to comment on the shooting.
