Afghanistan is highly susceptible to natural disasters and the impacts of climate change. In the past two months alone, dozens of people have been killed or injured in various natural disasters, particularly floods.
The United Nations reported that in Baghlan province alone, more than 10,000 houses have been damaged by floods. In addition to the tragic loss of life, the floods have inflicted significant financial losses on affected communities.
