KABUL, Afghanistan — Kam Air, an Afghan airline, has begun operating flights from Khost province, about 150 kilometers south of Kabul, to Dubai, according to the Taliban-controlled Ministry of Transport and Aviation. The inaugural flight took off on Sunday, June 2.

The Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency reported that Kam Air will conduct two flights per week between Khost and Dubai.

Previously, in January, Ariana Afghan Airlines launched flights from Khost to Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

Kam Air has also recently resumed its flights from Kabul to Turkey after a three-year hiatus.
