The warm-up match between Afghanistan and Oman was abandoned due to persistent rain at the Queen’s Park Oval stadium on Wednesday.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field first. Oman managed to score 154 runs in 20 overs while losing three wickets. However, Afghanistan could not start its innings due to the continuous rain.

Team Afghanistan, also known as the Afghan Atalan, will play its second warm-up match of the T20 World Cup against Scotland on Friday.

The 2024 T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 2, with Afghanistan scheduled to play its first match against Uganda on June 4.
