Climbers scale Dowindar Mountains to highlight plight of Afghanistan’s flood victims

HERAT, Afghanistan — A group of five climbers successfully scaled the Dowindar mountains in Herat province, according to a report on Monday by the Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency.

The climbers undertook the ascent to raise awareness about the severe conditions faced by flood-affected communities in Afghanistan. ~

The Dowindar mountains, situated in the Karukh district of Herat, reach an elevation of 3,250 meters.
