At least 15 Afghan nationals detained by Pakistan have been released and returned to their home country, according to the Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation.
Details regarding the reasons for their detention were not disclosed, but the individuals had been held for periods ranging from three days to 18 months.
This release follows reports from the Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency that 64 Afghan nationals were freed from detention in Pakistan’s Sindh and Balochistan provinces.
