Sources confirmed on Monday that Zholia Parsi, a women’s rights activist, has been released from Taliban custody after spending nearly three months in confinement.
Parsi was apprehended by the Taliban on September 27 from the Fathullah area in downtown Kabul.
Despite her release, the Taliban has not provided any statements regarding the reasons behind her initial arrest.
At least two other activists, Manizha Seddiqi and Parisa Azada, remain in Taliban custody as of the latest reports.
