Taliban arrests dozens of Panjshir residents, local sources report

According to information provided by three local sources within Panjshir province, situated to the north of Kabul, the Taliban has apprehended at least 30 individuals hailing from Abdullah Khel valley in the province.

The arrests have reportedly occurred across several regions, including “Kohna Deh” and “Khargah,” the sources said.

The sources have disclosed that those taken into custody experienced physical mistreatment at the hands of the Taliban. As of now, the Taliban has not issued any statements regarding these reported arrests.

It is worth noting that the Taliban has faced accusations of detaining civilians in Panjshir, with such claims previously reported by the United Nations. However, the Taliban has consistently refuted these allegations.
