Israeli air raid claims lives of Al Jazeera Gaza bureau chief’s family: Report

The wife, son, and daughter of Wael Al-Dahdouh, the bureau chief of Al Jazeera Arabic in Gaza, were killed during an Israeli air raid, according to a report by Al Jazeera on Wednesday.

Video footage broadcast by Al Jazeera captured the heart-wrenching moment when Al-Dahdouh arrived at a Gaza hospital to identify his deceased family members in the morgue.

Amid this devastating event, several members of the Al-Dahdouh family, including a toddler granddaughter, miraculously survived the assault that targeted the house where they had sought shelter in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located to the south of Wadi Gaza.

As the situation continues to develop, rescue efforts are underway to extract individuals from the wreckage of the affected residence.

Al Jazeera Arabic’s report indicates that a significant portion of the casualties resulting from Israeli air raids are innocent civilians who had relocated to the southern regions of the Gaza Strip, in accordance with Israel’s directives.
