Eid Mohammad Etimadi, a member of the Herat Ulama Council and an imam, was killed in a gunmen attack in Herat province on Sunday night, sources said on Monday.
Sources added that Etimadi was shot by unknown assailants after being forcibly taken from his residence in Khoshrod village, located in the Injil district of Herat.
As of now, there has been no official statement from local Taliban officials regarding the incident.
