Sources report an explosion in the city of Taluqan, the center of Takhar province in northeastern Afghanistan, on Sunday evening.
Eyewitnesses noted that the explosion took place in close proximity to the Taliban provincial governor’s office and that ambulances have been observed racing towards the area in response to the incident.
