Neda Parwani, a member of the women’s protesting movement, was reportedly detained by the Taliban in Kabul’s Khairkhana area around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, according to sources.
Sources also indicated that Parwani’s spouse and son have been detained by the Taliban, although the reasons for their arrests remain undisclosed at this time.
As of now, the Taliban has not issued any comments or statements regarding these arrests.
This incident follows a pattern of the Taliban detaining numerous women’s rights activists in Kabul, many of whom have remained in custody for extended periods, raising concerns about their well-being and the broader human rights situation in the region.
