The imam of a mosque was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in the southern province of Helmand, local sources said Friday.
The attack took place Wednesday, Oct. 1, in the Babaji district, the sources said, identifying the victim as Mawlawi Aqa.
The Taliban have not commented on the incident.
