Pakistani fighter jets bombed an area of Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province overnight, killing at least 24 people, including women and children, local sources told Amu on Monday.
The sources said the strikes targeted civilian homes in the Tirah area of Khyber district. Dozens more were wounded, they added.
“All of the victims were civilians,” one source said, noting that many women and children were among the injured.
Residents said rescue teams were still searching for bodies under the rubble and warned that the death toll could rise.
Pakistani officials and the military have not commented on the strike.
