Israeli airstrikes on Gaza killed at least 21 people in attacks on a school, tents and homes, local health officials said Sunday, as the war entered its 11th month.
The strikes came as Israel also reported two people were injured when a drone launched from Yemen hit an airport in southern Israel.
In Israel, families and supporters of hostages held in Gaza staged street protests, demanding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reach a deal to secure their release. About 200 people were taken captive during the Hamas-led assault on Oct. 7, in which 1,139 people in Israel were killed, according to Israeli officials.
Meanwhile in London, police arrested nearly 900 people on Saturday after thousands rallied to demand an end to Britain’s ban on Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian campaign group.
The Gaza Health Ministry said at least 64,368 people have been killed and 162,776 wounded in the enclave since the war began. Thousands more are believed to be buried under rubble.
