Torkham, the main border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan, has been temporarily closed to all traffic since early Saturday, sources said.
Two sources familiar with the situation, who asked not to be named, told Amu TV the move comes after flash floods damaged the area’s mobile phone network and disrupted the computer systems required for processing transit.
“One of the officials said, ‘The computer system there is down. They’re working to fix it. Once the network is back up, it will reopen,’” one source said.
