A tractor overturned while crossing a river in southern Helmand province on Friday, killing 12 people, including women and children, and injuring four others, local sources said.
The incident occurred in the Garmser district when the tractor lost balance and plunged into the water, according to the sources.
Bodies of the victims, along with the injured, were recovered from the river by Taliban authorities, the sources added.
