Afghanistan’s A Cricket Team to face India in Youth Asia Cup semifinals

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghanistan’s Under-23 cricket team is set to face India this evening in the semifinal round of the Youth Asia Cup, following a string of strong performances in the tournament.

Afghanistan’s team advanced to the semifinals after securing victories over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Despite these wins, the Afghan squad faced a setback in their third match, losing to Hong Kong by five wickets.

The semifinal match between Afghanistan’s A team, led by Darwish Rasooli, and India’s A team, captained by Tilak Varma, is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time in Kabul (7:30 p.m. IST) and will take place at Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman.

Both teams bring high stakes to the match, as they vie for a spot in the final round of the tournament.
