Taliban have detained an elder and his son in Pashkati village, Dara district of Panjshir province, during a series of house-to-house searches, according to local sources. The detainees were identified as Safdar, a community elder, and his son, Haider.

The detentions follow a reported explosion in Dara district that allegedly caused casualties among Taliban forces, prompting sweeping search operations last week. Sources indicated that the Taliban initially arrested several individuals, releasing some the following day. As of the latest reports, seven people are believed to have been detained.

In a related development, the Taliban have reportedly blocked access to Dara-e Abdullah Khail, further restricting movement within the area.

The National Resistance Front (NRF), an anti-Taliban group, claimed responsibility for a recent attack on a Taliban security post in Panjshir. According to the NRF, the assault resulted in the deaths of at least 13 Taliban members and left two others wounded. The Taliban have not confirmed these casualties.
