Netherlands contributes $16 million in aid to Afghanistan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that the Netherlands has contributed more than $16 million in aid to Afghanistan.

In a post on X, OCHA stated: “The Netherlands has provided a new aid package of €15 million, equivalent to $16.1 million, to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.”

The organization added that the funds will be used to address the needs of vulnerable populations in 2024.

According to the U.N., the Netherlands is the third-largest donor to Afghanistan, having contributed more than €89 million since 2016.
