Local sources reported that an 11-year-old boy was abducted by unidentified individuals outside a private school in the city of Herat on Sunday.
The boy, identified as Amir Ali, was kidnapped on the morning of Sunday, September 8, while on his way to school. According to reports, two women and a man abducted him near Miraj Private School in Herat’s 12th district.
Amir Ali is originally from Jaghori district in Ghazni province. His father had relocated to Herat for work, the sources added.
The incident comes shortly after the abduction and murder of another child in Herat, who was killed by kidnappers after being held for two weeks.
Taliban officials in Herat have not yet commented on the incident.
