Two killed, 10 injured in traffic accidents in Bamiyan

At least two people, including a woman and a child, were killed, and 10 others were injured in two separate traffic accidents in the central Afghan province of Bamiyan, local authorities reported.

The first accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in the Saran Sorkh Dar area of Bamiyan, when two vehicles collided, according to the Taliban’s head of media and public affairs for the province. The crash resulted in the deaths of a woman and a child, while seven others sustained injuries.

A second incident took place at approximately 9:00 a.m. in the provincial center, where a Fournier car overturned, injuring three men.

Traffic accidents remain a significant concern across Afghanistan. According to figures cited by Amu TV from the Taliban-run Traffic Directorate, 1,334 traffic incidents have occurred nationwide over the past five months, resulting in 291 deaths and 479 injuries.
