Roza Otunbayeva, the UN special envoy for Afghanistan, met with Mohammed Abushahab, the UAE ambassador to the United Nations, to discuss the forthcoming meeting in Doha.
“We discussed the latest developments in the country, the upcoming meeting in Doha, and UNAMA’s work toward a more prosperous Afghanistan—including for its women and girls,” the UAE envoy said in a statement.
The Doha meeting is scheduled for June 30.
