Three civilians killed in Taliban shooting in Nangarhar: Sources

Sources in Nangarhar province report that three civilians were killed and five others injured when the Taliban fired to disperse protesters. The incident occurred as residents were demonstrating against the demolition of their homes.

According to the sources, a number of Nangarhar residents blocked the Jalalabad-Torkham highway for two hours on Thursday in protest.

The Taliban have reportedly warned these residents that their homes will be demolished to make way for a new customs facility.

This violence follows previous incidents where two individuals were killed by Taliban gunfire in Badakhshan.
