In the ongoing one-day international series, Afghanistan’s A team defeated Sri Lanka’s A team by four wickets.
After winning the toss, Afghanistan chose to field first. Sri Lanka set a target of 276 runs, losing seven wickets. Qais Ahmad led Afghanistan’s bowling attack, taking three wickets for 62 runs.
Afghan batter Riaz Hassan starred with a superb 106 runs. He was supported by Zubaid Akbari, who scored 68 runs, Nangyal Kharoti with 40, and Shahidullah Kamal, who added 39 runs.
The match took place at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
