Afghanistan: Floods in Ghor province claim one life, injure two

Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees reported on Sunday that floods in Ghor province on Saturday, May 4, resulted in one death and two injuries.

According to a statement from the ministry, the floods displaced at least 500 families.

The floods affected the Murghab and Chaharsada districts of Ghor, damaging 16 villages in both areas, the statement said.

Taliban stated that the floods have blocked roads between these two districts and have also destroyed 55 shops and 10 homes.

This year’s floods have killed dozens of people in various provinces of the country.
