Afghanistan secured second place at the annual Global Village international trade fair held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The exhibition, which spans six months, saw Afghanistan participating this year.
Mir Khan Muquri, Afghanistan’s representative at the event, said that this is the first time in the past two decades that Afghanistan has achieved second place.
According to Muquri, Afghanistan showcased its handicrafts, music, artistic fabrics, traditional clothing, both dried and fresh fruits, gemstones, and Afghan cuisine at the fair.
The event was attended by 3,500 traders and 93 cultural institutions.
Annually, the exhibition attracts over seven million visitors from around the world.
