The Tasnim News Agency reported that the Taliban released six Iranian border guards after holding them for several hours.
The agency added that the guards were detained earlier by Taliban forces and taken into Afghanistan.
It is reported that the Iranian guards were released following negotiations between Iranian law enforcement officials and the Taliban and “were returned to their country in good health.”
The Taliban has not yet commented on the matter.
