Taliban prohibits production, use of specific laundry detergent in Afghanistan

The Taliban’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a warning to the public about the dangers of using a particular laundry detergent known as “laundry vaseline,” citing its association with skin diseases, allergies, and chronic conditions.

The ministry has directed manufacturers to cease production of this detergent, threatening legal repercussions for non-compliance.

Additionally, it advises against the use of this product due to its negative effects on skin health.

Laundry vaseline has gained popularity in recent years as a choice for washing clothes and carpets, particularly because it is believed to leave no white marks on fabrics after washing, especially on stained and dark-colored items.
