US Sen. Lindsey Graham calls for aggressive actions against ISIS-K in Afghanistan

United States Senator Lindsey Graham emphasized on Monday the importance of the US targetting Daesh’s Khorasan branch, known as ISIS-K, in Afghanistan to prevent further escalation.

“We should be hitting ISIS-K targets in Afghanistan hard, disrupting their operations before it’s too late,” he said on X.

Additionally, Graham highlighted the urgency of securing operational control over the borders to avert potential threats, saying, “We need to gain operational control of the border now before it’s too late.”

The remarks came in the wake of a deadly suicide bombing in Kandahar last week, for which ISIS-K claimed responsibility, resulting in at least 27 fatalities.
