Massoumeh Sanei Toroghi, known as the oldest woman in Iran, died at the age of 126 in Khorasan Razavi Province, Iranian media reported.
Born in 1898, she experienced three distinct eras in the country: the Qajar, Pahlavi, and Islamic Republic periods.
However, due to the lack of accurate civil registration in Iran’s past, determining the exact age of the country’s oldest citizens is challenging.
There may be older people in Iran, but identifying them is difficult, Iranian media reported.
