Taliban publicly flogs four in Kabul for affair charges

Taliban publicly flogged four individuals in Kabul on Thursday for allegedly having an affair.

Each person received 35 lashes, as stated by the Taliban’s supreme court.

In addition to the public flogging, the four individuals were sentenced to one year in prison.

The statement from the court did not provide further details about the case.

A recent report from the United Nations indicated that within six months of the previous year, the Taliban had publicly flogged 274 men and 58 women on various criminal charges.
