The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday announced the 14-member national U19s squad set to compete in the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2023, commencing on December 8 in Dubai, UAE.
Leading the squad will be left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Naseer Khan.
The 14-player Afghanistan U19 team includes four backup reserve players, with an additional two serving as backups in line with ACB’s strategic preparations for the ICC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in 2024.
Several members of the squad have prior experience, having been part of the Afghanistan U19 Squad in bilateral series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as well as featuring in a tri-series involving the same opponents.
