At least three people have died in snowstorms and heavy rain across the country, including a child, a Taliban spokesman said on Saturday.
The severe weather hit nine provinces on Friday and Saturday and partially or completely destroyed more than 750 homes.
The hardest hit provinces were Balkh, Zabul, Faryab, Uruzgan, Nimroz, Nangarhar, Kunar, Nuristan, and Laghman.
A disaster management spokesman Shafiullah Rahimi said seven people had also been injured in the storms.
The Afghanistan Meteorological Department has meanwhile forecast more rain for the next three days across a wide area of the country and snow in some parts of the country. However, the weather is not expected to be as severe as it was over the past few days.
