An explosion targeted a Taliban vehicle in the city of Taluqan, the center of Takhar province, at around 5:10 pm on Thursday, sources said, adding that at least four people, including a Taliban member, were wounded.
At least two vehicles and a number of shops were damaged in the explosion, sources added.
Meanwhile, another source said that at least eight civilians, including children, were killed and wounded in the incident.
Taliban has not commented on the incident.
