The child, the son of Barkatullah, a mosque imam in the Momand Dara district, was kidnapped on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and his body was discovered the on Thursday, according to the sources.

They said the boy had been strangled and showed signs of severe torture. Residents described his father as having no known personal disputes.
