A planned conference on Afghanistan in Islamabad has been postponed for four weeks due to what has been described as “technical issues” with visa issuance for some participants, three sources told Amu.
The meeting, originally scheduled for this week, is now expected to take place in late September, the sources said.
The planned gathering has already drawn criticism from some quarters, reflecting sensitivities around Afghanistan’s political future and regional engagement with the Taliban.
