Student killed in knife attack at Kunar University, sources say

KABUL — A student was killed following a physical altercation at Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan University in the eastern province of Kunar, local sources told Amu on Saturday.

The incident occurred late Friday, May 2, after one student reportedly attacked another with a knife during a dispute, according to multiple witnesses. The victim, a computer science student originally from Paktia province, died while being transported to a hospital.

Taliban police in Kunar confirmed the incident and said three individuals have been arrested in connection with the killing.

Taliban did not immediately release the names of those involved.
