SCHLESWIG, Germany — Afghan refugee athletes secured three gold medals and one bronze at a national weightlifting competition held in the northern German city of Schleswig.
The tournament featured competitors from various countries, with Afghan refugee lifters making a strong showing.
Hoshang Seddiqian won gold in the under-120 kg category, while Omid Khan Habib and Ahmad A’zami each claimed gold in the under-74 kg category.
Additionally, Javad Jami earned a bronze medal in the under-105 kg division.
