Afghanistan falls to New Zealand in second warm-up match

Afghanistan’s national cricket team suffered a two-wicket defeat against New Zealand in its second warm-up match ahead of the Champions Trophy.

The match took place on Sunday in Karachi, Pakistan. Afghanistan set a target of 306 runs, but New Zealand successfully chased it down, losing eight wickets in the process.

This marks Afghanistan’s second consecutive loss in the warm-up games. In the first match, Pakistan’s “A” team defeated Afghanistan by 144 runs.

The Champions Trophy is set to begin on Wednesday with an opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Afghanistan will play its first official game of the tournament on Friday against South Africa.
