A delegation from Iran, including members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), met with representatives of the National Movement for Peace and Justice, an opposition group led by Mohammad Hanif Atmar, in Istanbul, according to a source within the movement.
The source said the Iranian delegation included Seyed Hossein Mousavi, Naser Ghazalipour, and Ebrahim Taherian, Iran’s former ambassador to Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation in Afghanistan and potential pathways to resolving the country’s political deadlock, the source added.
