HARARE, Zimbabwe — The 50-over cricket match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe was delayed on Tuesday due to heavy rain in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe.
The rain prevented the coin toss, which determines which team will bat or bowl first, from taking place as scheduled. The match was set to begin at noon Kabul time.
Hashmatullah Shahidi, who leads Afghanistan’s One-Day International (ODI) squad, is captaining the team for the series against Zimbabwe.
The matches are being held in Harare as part of the ongoing ODI series between the two sides. No further updates have been provided on when play might resume.
