Afghan boxer Nayebkhil falls to Ukrainian opponent in Asian Championship

CHIANG MAI, Thailand — Afghanistan’s boxer Mudasir Nayebkhil was defeated by his Ukrainian opponent in the 75-kilogram category during the Asian Boxing Championships held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Monday.

According to the Afghanistan Boxing Federation, Nayebkhil lost the bout after three rounds, with the judges awarding victory to the Ukrainian fighter on points.

The match was part of the ongoing Asian Championship tournament, which has drawn boxers from across the continent to compete in a range of weight classes.
