At least six people were wounded when Taliban forces opened fire on a group of protesters in Feroz Koh, the capital of Afghanistan’s Ghor province, according to sources familiar with the incident.

The protest erupted in response to reported body searches conducted by the Taliban on local women, a practice that has stirred anger and resentment among residents. Sources told Amu that the protesters gathered in central Feroz Koh, demanding an end to such invasive measures.

Witnesses described the scene as tense, with Taliban forces using firearms to disperse the crowd. The confrontation underscores rising public frustration over the Taliban’s treatment of women and their restrictive policies, which have sparked protests in various parts of Afghanistan.
