Three Taliban members shot dead in Ghor, sources say

FEROZ KOH, Afghanistan — Three Taliban members were shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in Feroz Koh, the capital of western Ghor province, according to local sources.

The attack took place along the Charsadda highway, where the Taliban members were ambushed, sources said.

Two of those killed were identified as Najeebullah and Mohammad Tahir, both residents of Charsadda district. The third victim was from Murghab district.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, similar incidents targeting Taliban members are often claimed by ISIS-K, as well as the Resistance Front and Freedom Front, both of which oppose Taliban rule.
