Six Taliban members were injured in an explosion on Friday evening in Panjshir Province, according to Taliban officials. The blast reportedly occurred within a military squadron in the Dara district, though independent sources have not confirmed the details.

A spokesperson for the Taliban’s security department in Panjshir, Abidullah Faroqi, attributed the explosion to a gas balloon accident inside a guesthouse used by the military unit. No further information about the incident has been made available.

The Afghanistan Security Watch, an independent monitoring group, reported 37 security incidents across Afghanistan in September, highlighting the continued instability in the country. Panjshir, a region historically resistant to Taliban rule, remains a flashpoint for occasional violence.
