Zakia Khudadadi, an Afghan taekwondo athlete competing as part of the Refugee Paralympic Team, on Thursday secured a bronze medal in taekwondo at the Paris Paralympic Games.
Khudadadi’s bronze medal marks the first Paralympic medal for the Refugee Paralympic Team.
On Thursday, August 29, Khudadadi faced off against her opponent from Morocco to claim the historic victory.
