TEHRAN — Iran and Yemen declared three days of public mourning following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas, according to Iranian media reports.
Haniyeh was targeted at his residence in Tehran on Wednesday.
In a gathering, Iran’s supreme leader vowed to take “revenge” for Haniyeh’s killing. The Iranian news outlet Tasnim reported that Yemen has also announced a period of public mourning.
